MEET THE TROUPE
TROUPE STAFF
Founder & Executive Director
DLB
David Lee Black is the creative mind behind PDT. He is also a force to be reckoned, especially when he is holding down the beats while zooming around on his lit hoverboard-powered quadzoom. He also lends his personal philosophy and artistic skill as an accomplished musician, sculpture artist, photographer and expressive arts therapist.
Director of Finance
The Librarian
Aimee "The Librarian" Fontaine, who is literally a librarian, was hooked from her first PDT gig. Willing to jump in wherever needed, she currently beats happily on the big white bass drum. Usually found in striped tights and a tutu, her love of thrifting and playing dress up has finally found its true purpose.
Director of Music
Cocktail Cote
John "Cocktail Cote" is a professional musician with a commitment to excellence. He ensures the beats are tight, and that each percussionist is hitting their mark. While he goes by Cocktail Cote, his drink of choice is the margarita.
Director of Marketing
BINX
Bianca “BINX” Gouveia has been singing her whole life and she's got the honeyed pipes to prove it. Between her band YONKS and PDT, Binx is a busy woman but always finds time for a good book and a cuddle with her cat.
Director of Operations
JenX
Jen "Jen X" Rankin is as steady as they come. She helps to hold the snare line to the beat with her precision and skill. Her attention to detail and her commitment to developing her skills make her an invaluable member of the Troupe.
Director of Administration
Platinum
Natalie "Platinum" Hogan plays a mean washboard wearing Wolverine-style finger picks and her signature silver headband. Always ready to share her instrument with a fan, Natalie is well-suited to play what just might be the coolest piece of percussion in the Troupe.
PERFORMERS
Alexander the Grateful
Alex “Alexander the Grateful” Speredelozzi is an intellectual at heart and connoisseur of fine foods, Alex does not limit himself to any particular style of drum. While he currently plays snare, he is experienced on the bass and can often be heard playing his full drum kit in his spare time. And holy hell, can this man dance!
AllieLoop
Allie “AllieLoop” Boyer is a pied piper, gathering kids and kids at heart into her hooping circle. She believes the hoop is a circle that symbolizes inclusivity, wholeness and endless possibilities. Her smile is infectious and mirrored in the gaggle of little ones that follow her every move at each performance.
Bonecrusher
Mackenzie "Bonecrusher" Carreira is the epitome of the rocker chick. She's cool, funny, sexy and talented. Playing for years in an all-girl band, Mackenize now lends her drumming chops and edgy vibe to PDT.
Chaos
Lauren "Chaos" Trad may be small, but she is mighty talented and packs a punch on the bass drum. This photographer inhabits every space with a cool and edgy vibe that draws everyone's eye to her.
Chili Pepper
Chili Pepper is the sweetest of us all. This statuesque beauty and dress-up diva is always smiling, but she is a true badass when it comes to her craft.
Crushee
Devon "Crushee" Carreira is the Troupe's youngest member and the cutest by far. Barely bigger than his bass drum, Devon smashes every gig he plays. Given that Bonecrusher is his mom, it's kind of inevitable that he's a natural.
Cymba
Demetrios "Cymba" Metoharakis is beyond...just beyond. He glides into gigs on his bicycle and so begins his performance, making noise on any and all surfaces available. Known best for playing his cymbals while lying on his back with his super long legs in the air, Cymba has a wonderfully chaotic energy that is absolutely infectious.
Danger Mouse
Tyler “Danger Mouse” Anctil has crashed his way into the heart of the Troupe with his enthusiastic and quirky nature. Always ready to make some noise, Danger Mouse and his cymbals are a sight to behold.
Dr. M
Anne Marie “Dr. M” Vale is an accomplished musician and music teacher who plays her djembe with a fierce intensity. Her beats fill the space between the snares and the bass drums, amplifying the Troupe’s connection to the history and cultural importance of drumming.
El Dunco
Duncan "El Dunco" MacDougall might just be the happiest drummer in the Troupe. Whether he is leading the bass line or banging on his water drum, El Dunco is sure to be smiling. In his time away from PDT you can catch him resolving various tech issues under his other alter ego, the Digital Handyman, catching some sun, or quoting the Simpsons.
Fancy Kerrigan
Chris "Fancy" Kerrigan is a unicorn. A one-of-a-kind musician with tons of talent, Fancy is also an amazing human being. Up for anything and down for all sorts of fun, you can't help but smile when you are around the one and only Fancy Kerrigan.
Fife
Kayla “Fife” St. George credits “Hamilton the Musical” for her obsession with drumming, but these days, it's the Troupe’s rendition of Pitbull’s “Fireball” that gets her juices flowing. A welcome addition to the bass drummers, Fife’s career as a zookeeper has prepared her well for life in the Troupe.
FlowChad
In addition to his proficiency in all things “flow,” Chad “FlowChad” Anctil is a certified fire performer, best-selling author and puppeteer. Despite having the best hair in the Troupe, FlowChad is most recognizable when he is underneath his giant puppet creation, “Gumdrop.”
Genisis
Sometimes known as "Chloe Silva," Genisis brings a fun and furry vibe to the Troupe. Chloe is a talented artist and seamstress who can now add drumming to her list of talents.
GMC Suede
Gina "GMC Suede" Carcerano Adamson is a lil bit tomboy and a lotta bit siren. She’s an artist, a singer and a musician who captivates everyone around her. Whether it be with a drumstick, a pencil, or a pickleball paddle ~ GMC Suede’s hands are a force to be reckoned with!
Gumdrop
Gumdrop is a bubblegum pink, 12’ tall puppet who will dance the night away with smiles and hugs. She is not a fan of low ceilings or high winds, but that is a story for another day.
Hollywood
“Hollywood” is a fitting name for Michael Luzzi, who is an actor, musician, photographer, artist and novelist. This Renaissance man plays snare for PDT and always has a supply of bagels in his car for hungry performers.
Jessica Rabbit
Jess "Jessica Rabbit" Sullivan is a vocalist, hype chick, and the coolest of us all. Creativity is her superpower and she inspires growth and development in every person she meets.
Kiwi
Cheri "Kiwi" Melvin is a sight to behold with her smooth, honey hoop moves. She moves around the stage effortlessly dancing in, out, through and around her magical hoop.
Krazy Rae
Stacy "Krazy Rae" Seminick brings her magic wings and athletic dance talent to the Troupe in strange and wondrous ways! A designer at heart, she creates unique custom costumes and is well connected to the Providence art scene. While forever drawn to the ocean as an avid sailor, Krazy Rae is known for spreading her wings at the highest point.
Lady Bird
Robyn “Ladybird” DuBois is a self-described “adrenaline junkie,” Robyn has a unique and mesmerizing hooping style that sets her apart. Her gold hoop moves at breakneck speed, yet it is Robyn’s meditative vibe that captivates those around her. And then you hear her laugh and you love her even more!
Majesty
Nancy "Majesty" Hawksley has a deep love for glitter, sequins, and all things sparkly or shiny. But her joy is bringing smiles to the faces of audiences of all ages! Her beautiful approach to dancing is a sight to behold and is a lifetime in the making. This woman is a force to be reckoned with.
Mama Bubbles
Kathi "Mama Bubbles" Martey is the coolest mama we know. With a flair for facepainting and her endless supply of glitter, Kathi knows how to take our game faces to the next level.
The Masked Clubsman
Jay "The Masked Clubsman" Moran is one-of-a-kind. The PDT experience would not be the same without this masked man- clubs and shoes glowing, arms flowing, and with so much strong steady joy. Behind the scenes, he is a constant source of positive light to us, and ever ready to lend one of those flowing hands to any of us that might need it
Nicole "Nikki/Nikita" Down
Wearing amazing costumes and moving like water, Nikki brings pops of color and vibrancy to the PDT family. Nikki's thirst for knowledge and dedication to the practice of movement arts has developed into a uniquely kinetic form of self-expression. Their flow is incredibly fluid and fun to watch, making every move they make look easy.
Niko Suavé
Niko "Niko Suavé" Martey is one part goofball, one part charmer, and one part superhero. Able to discern any drum pattern in seconds, Niko lends a steady rhythm to the bass line. Now if only we could get him to dance...
Professor WOO
Steven “Professor WOO” Wynne is an International Law and Global Business professor by day, this Wise Old Owl is a master flow artist by night, wielding his magical, glowing staff with skillful ease. Woo is passionate about music, education and the martial arts.
Rev
If there is something weird and wonderful going on, there is a good chance Jeff "Rev" O'Neill is part of it. From hosting Zombie Night, burlesque shows, emcee'ing roller derby, and variety shows to officiating over 200 RI weddings, he can be found almost anywhere the strange, beautiful and artistic meet to spread love in all its artistic ways.
Rose Noir
Mary "Rose Noir" Langlois is a sight to behold...but you'll have to look up to see her. Mary spends a lot of her Troupe time more than 10 feet in the air playing her bass drum while on stilts. This is nothing new for this aerial arts flyer who is an accomplished dancer and yoga teacher.
Sasha
Alexandra "Sasha" Chilikina seemingly floats above the ground as she dances her way around a PDT performance. Belly dancing since 2009, Sasha has got moves! With hips that don't quit, her energy, style and appeal cannot be beat.
Scred
Greg "Scred" Bass is never hard to spot whether he is dressed as Evil Kneivel or silver and glittering from head to toe. Scred tends to ignore the "black" in "black and bling" while leaning heavily into the "bling." His easy smile and drumming talent make him a perfect fit for PDT.
Thunder
Thomas "Thunder" Ferreira is a drum prodigy who has been accepted into Berklee School of Music despite being only 16 years old. With his curly mohawk and crazy alien sunglasses, Thomas has already found his "look" for when he hits the big time.
